Thunaivan History Thunaivan released the first Tamil Wordprocessor in Malaysia in 1986. Together with this wordprocessor, Thunaivan introduced the first "Tamil Phonetic Keyboard" in Singapore and Malaysia. The introduction of this new Tamil Keyboard Input System led to the subsequent popularity and development of other phonetic keyboard layouts including Kanian and Tamil99.
